Planning your route

It must be noted that it is a condition of our insurance that Lazydayz is covered for use on Inland canals and rivers only and not on tidal waters or tidal sections of any river. The river Trent becomes tidal shortly after Newark and is thus the final destination on the downstream leg of the river Trent.

This condition has no impact on routes upstream on the Trent and Mersey, Erewash Canal or the River Soar / Grand Union Canals.
Once you have planned your route you can call British Waterways on 01923 201401 to ensure that there are no planned maintainance stoppages/repairs on that section of the network.

Finding the Marina

Take Junction 24 off the M1, down the A453 towards Nottingham, after 1.5 miles turn left at the lights adjacent to the Cooling Towers. Marina sign posted.

5 minute taxi drive from East Midlands International Airport or a 10 minute taxi drive from Nottingham Train Station.
